A Capela do Senhor da Pedra localiza-se junto do mar e está assente num rochedo, foi construída no século XVII, de planta hexagonal com um Altar-mor e dois retábulos laterais de talha dourada e de estilo Barroco/Rococó. Possui diversa estatuária religiosa, sendo de salientar a imagem de Cristo crucificado. A romaria ao Senhor da Pedra é uma das mais típicas de Vila Nova de Gaia Freguesia de Arcozelo, é uma festa muito antiga que se realiza anualmente nas praias de Miramar, no Domingo da Santíssima Trindade e que se prolonga até à Terça-feira seguinte. A origem do culto a Cristo na Capela do Senhor da Pedra pode ter origem num antigo culto pagão, de carácter naturalista, dos povos pré-cristãos, cujas divindades eram veneradas em plena natureza, tendo posteriormente sido convertido ao Cristianismo.

The Chapel is situated near the sea and is based on a rock, was built in the seventeenth century, plant with a hexagonal. The high altar and two side altars, and gilded Baroque-style / Rococo. It has diverse religious statuary, and to stress the image of Christ crucified. The pilgrimage to the Senhor da Pedra is one of the most typical of Vila Nova de Gaia Parish, Arcozelo, is an ancient festival which is held annually on the beaches of Miramar, on Sunday of the Holy Trinity and that has continued until the following Tuesday. The origin of the cult of Christ in the Chapel of Senhor da Pedra may have originated in ancient pagan worship, a naturalist, from pre-Christian peoples, whose gods were venerated in full nature, but subsequently been converted to Christianity.
