Durango Vacation 2007 - Popup Maiden Voyage

06 Apr 2007 - 08 Apr 2007

We bought a brand new 2007 Forest River Flagstaff 228 on March 29th and decided to take it on her maiden voyage for our anniversary to Durango Colorado.

Initially we were going to stay at the Durango RV Park, but when we got there the place was completely packed so we continued on to try and find another RV park to stay at. We came across Alpen Rose RV Park quite by accident and it turned out to be a really great place. It was quiet, very few RVs, and they had a great bathhouse.

On Saturday we drove out to Junction Creek so Rachel could get some flyfishing in while I hiked around and hit a Geocache. Later that day we stopped at the Durango Visitors Center so Rachel could flyfish the Animas river and again I found some more Geocaches to search out.

Even though it rained most of the time we were there, we still had a great time in the new popup.
